- High manganese austenitic hardfacing electrode designed for rebuilding and surfacing wear parts exposed to impact. AWS A5.13 EFeMn-A Hardfacing Electrode. The weld deposit work-hardens in service and is valued for toughness and wear resistance on manganese steel components.
- Built for Impact Wear Applications. Ideal for hardfacing and repair of crusher components, high manganese rails, buckets, bulldozer parts, bucket teeth, rail frogs and similar wear parts found in mining, quarry, railroad and heavy equipment service.
- Work-Hardening Manganese Deposit. Deposits a tough austenitic high manganese weld metal that hardens under service stress, helping extend part life in high-impact environments where conventional hard deposits may crack more easily.
- Multiple Sizes and Cost-Effective Pack Options. Available in 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16" diameters, with cost-effective 11 lb, 22 lb, 33 lb and 44 lb pack options to fit maintenance shops, industrial users and higher-volume repair programs.
- Recommended Application Method. For best results, apply with low current and a narrow bead/gap. The manufacturer recommends baking electrodes at 300–350C for 1 hour before welding, removing the fatigued layer on worn manganese steel, and using immediate hammering or water quenching while hot to help reduce crack tendency. AC and DC operation are supported.
